Yeah this thing is tiny so a Nomad clone would be great, just gotta get the hard part...the case. The nomad case was awesome from what I remember. We need someone skilled to start making cases, that would make it a lot easier. I'd pay $50 for a quality case.

Well Im not shure how well the 7808 would function at 10V its kinda close. (how much higher do you need it anyway?)

Yeah the screen doesn't need 3.25A because the GC PSU only provides 2.75A and it works... I COULD try that 12v 1/1.5A PSU from RadShack but I dont feel like buying any more junk.
