Hey i just dug up this old lcd screen which went to a ps1 (not the official screen, i think its interact) anyway, all i found was the screen and lcd controller board. i dont have any of the other crap thats usually with it, like the input/output boards and speakers. I soldered on power and ground ...

I think having that heavy battery on the bottom balances it out, and it will actually be bottom heavy a lil.

Honestly, i have dealt with this same problem, soldering or trying to plug crap in, and it really isnt all that hard to solder the 48 wires to the cart slot and board, it just takes patience and an hour or so, its best to strip all of your scsi wires first and then tin them so you can just go boom ...

well i hooked it up many times using the wireing diagram found in the "definative noac pinout" thingy, disconnecting, then looking at the diagram and reconnecting, and still nothing. honestly i believe i may have messed something up on the noac board, because i dont have crappy built in games ...

ok i dont think that any of that was wrong, i bought a new controller, and desoldered the IC very carefully and bent the pins very carefully, didnt break any, soldered the chip on the other side and, blah, it still does the same thing, could the problem be my noac? i dont have another to test it ...

i moved the IC on my nes controller to the other side of the board in an attempt to save space inside the controller, and i accidently broke off one of the pins, i dremeled a lil of the chip off(enough to get to the metal) and soldered it on there, then i soldered the rest of the pins on, and when i ...

got it, apparently one of the pins on the converter was not soldered, i guess that should have been the first thing i checked, :oops: thanks for your help

did all that, still doesnt work, about that wire, do i need the wire connecting 31 and 30 or 1 and 60 for it to work or does the family converter do that?

it was either, i didnt have the right pinout guide, or i didnt detach the old control board :oops:
