Problem hooking nes controller to super joy 3

Post by reliant »

i have a super joy 3, revision 2 i believe, and i looked up how to hook a nes controller to it, in the "definative NOAC pinout thing" and i hooked all the wires up to the noac board (not the controller board) but it still doesnt work, could it be that my nes controller is bad? this is really inhibiting my nesP progress.

check for cold solder points, make sure you've got good contact and check to make sure that everything looks right visually.

One thing that you could do is take a picture of what you've done, make sure it's good enough so that we can see exactly where the wires are soldered.

NES controllers are pretty resiliant, so I don't think that's the problem. Check you've hooked up the wires to the correct spots and check for cold solder joints like loup said. You could always try another NES controller if it still doesn't work. Pics would really help :)
