I can't get this super joy to play nes games
i have a superjoy 3 13 pin version, i bought a family converter and i cant get them to play nes games. i have a nes game, its called golf, it was 1 dollar at a store at the flea market (also where i bought the super joy) and when i plug the converter in, i just get wierd artifacts on the screen that fade away and i'm left with a white screen, sometimes the screen is white then fades to black, i have plugged in the cart. and the converter every way possible, and i connected pins 1 and 60 ( like it says in the definative noac pinout guide) and pins 30 and 31 ( like ben says) not at the same time of course though. do i even need a wire connecting those 2 if i use the family converter? can i even use this? or am i doomed to playing 76000 lame nintendo games?

Could be. What exactly did you clean, and how? Clean everything. Take a q-tip with rubbing alcohol and rub the NES cartridge pins and the family converter pins vigorously. You should physically see black coming off. Keep on rubbing until you stop scrubbing out dirt.reliant wrote:i cleaned it and still no go, is it possible that the cart is bad?
Next, you have to clean the actual NOAC cartridge slot. Take a playing/Pokemon/Yugioh card (

The family converter does it. The pins are all connected, and instead of booting the ROMs when a cart is inserted, it boots the NES game. Have you tried using multiple games, perhaps? Or maybe a Famicom cart? I know that family converters can be quite shoddy if they're not in exactly the right position, so try fiddling with that.reliant wrote:did all that, still doesnt work, about that wire, do i need the wire connecting 31 and 30 or 1 and 60 for it to work or does the family converter do that?
