Just a Q about LM78XX

My question is in regards to powering a slim ps2 or something else that requires enough amps to power, to my understanding, people have asked what regulator to use when they have a 12v battery and want to drop down to power screen/ps2

Now I know people have said in these threads "Use 7808" or other ...

12v car battery for power

I realise the slim ps2 runs on 8.5v 5.5a. I'm trying to make a power supply so I can plug mine screen and ps2 into the car. (don't want to buy the actual adapter cause they are expensive over here in New Zealand)

Now it's not as simple as hooking the 12volts onto a 8-9volt regulator because the ...

On the left there are the fuses. (arrows pointing towards them) Jump 1, should be good to go then. But be careful now, one more mistake and your screen will be blown.

EDIT: Didn't see your edit there, your backlight might be the ...

As I said in my first post Nick, it was all inside a steering wheel. No names on it besides Rollodex which was on the horn button badge. Which is no help at all. So a NES cart has 60 pins, How much does a SNES cart have? I can't see how it would be a NOAC as it has 8 buttons. Twice as much as a nes ...

Need help Identifying something

I got given this steering wheel for free as a friend of a friend doesn't know how to work it. I had a look at it and looking in the back it has a cartridge slot. It runs of 6 votls, via DC input or Batteries, it has AV jacks and a joypad socket. The buttons on the steering wheel are A, B, X, Y plus ...

I believe the screen can take 8volts fine. When you start getting over 9 is when you should be worrying. So you should be alright with 8 to 8.5v

The thing is I don't want to buy them and then find out they're a hoax and not 10,000maH I find it quite remarkable that they could hold that much each. heres the c cell 5000maH http://www.trademe.co.nz/structure/0124-2710-/auction-48526473.htm and the d cell 10,000maH http://www.trademe.co.nz ...

Neither, hence my question. I suppose I'll just have to put up with using wall power until I can get these batteries. Ever heard of these c/d cell batteries with 10,000maH. Where I'm looking they're $9 each (or something like that) Are these real or not?

They are from a battery pack (low capacity though) the bottom lot are in parallel and the top pack are in series. Is there any weird problems with charging having half in series and half in parallel?

Batteries Series+Parallel

Hey there guys, I wondering if you could do a setup like this picture. It's only temporary until I get some bigger capacity batteries. Would there be any problem in charging them this way? Or how would I charge them this way? They are only 700maH but I have 30+ of them. http://img.photobucket.com ...

I believe they are labeled on the back daguuy, a small solder spot much like the audio l, r, video, gnd etc etc aboce the slot connectors. they're marked with b+ b- (brightness) v+ v- (volume) I'm sure you could use your multimeter on those points then probe the tact switches
