So i think because it is so nice outside (75 degrees), i will being soldering my portable outside. It provides ventilation so I won't inhale toxic fumes, obviously.
Anywho, I got my DC-DC converter in the mail yesterday. I checked it out and it looks good. I also bought a 100 uf 35v capacitor to go with it so i can hook that to the output. I am confused as to what is the output of this chip, so i provided a picture of it:
Can someone show me where the input and output is so i know where to put the cap?
Also, i bought a spool of 22 gauge wire. Do i need a higher or lower guage wire or is this good?
I just soldered the cap to the dc-dc, but i am wondering where the voltage output wire goes. Is it directly soldered to the negative cap (where it is attached to the ground) wire or to the positive wire connected to the output?
the output pin gets wird to the 3.3v place on the N64 and the positive wire of the cap ( i think it's the long one). the ground wire of the cap goes to ground. that can be the ground pin on the regulator or any other place on the N64 where ground is
Sorry but i'm confused, does the negative wire of the capacitor go to the middle prong and then the wire which carries the output go on the positive prong of the capacitor? What goes on the output prong of the converter?

Please God, help me here...is this right? It's probably not, but could you please describe in detail where the wires go in relation to the capacitor, the converter, and the nintendo 64? I can't read diagrams like that Timmeh, sorry
the blue is output 3.3 volts you wanna hook the + side of the cap up to the blue and the - side of the cap to the center pin (black) along with ground.
I get what you mean...the positive terminal of the cap is connected to the output prong (converter prong) and the negative terminal of the cap is connected to the ground prong (converter prong).
Do i then connect a wire to the ground of the converter (which has the negative terminal of the capacitor already attached to it)? I just find it confusing and odd how three different things would be soldered to the same joint (capacitor/ground conveter prong/wire).
