Did you disable the built-in games by connecting pins 1 and 60? (using G-Force's chart)

You can make your own adapter if you have some extra male/female ports:

That's just the reset pin, it's not needed.

I think you wire it to a switch that leads to ground.

a lot of people here use 4 LEDS and a piece of aluminium foil on the back to reflect the light back towards the screen. You probably don't want to use more than 6, or else you'll probably be using the same amount of power as what the original light used. It's up to you how many you want to use.
