That's awesome! Um, not that I condone piracy or anything... >_>
But yeah, this'll be a kick, I can show it off on my new OQO at the Potterfest tonight!
I wonder if Scholastic is going to take legal action against more than just the two companies that accidentally shipped the book early. Most movie companies just accept the fact that their film is going to be pirated, but these guys seem to be pretty angry about the whole ordeal. Think they'll actually go the extra mile and track down the people who photographed the book and made the PDF?

If you want to actually read the book, avoid YTMND for the next few days.
They've got images and spoilers rivaling "Snape Kills Dumbledore".
Here's a funny, related, non-spoilerish comic: "Rejected Harry Potter Endings"

I tole my parents 100 times we should just go to the grocery store 1 minute from out house at 12:00 and get it. No they force me to come with them at 9:00 to a Borders full of so many people you could not even move, then on our way home we stop at the store to get a snack and they have a huge ass pile of the books sitting there...
Yeah...

Well, I just got back with my official copy!
It was a good time. Me and my friends were first in line at my local Meijer, where, there were literally about 500 people lined up. Went to Border's for a few hours and messed around with some crazed fans, my friend started rambling off spoilers, half the store was literally going to hit him.
Well technically, I wasn't first in line, there was one guy ahead of us who we let cut. He got off work early to get the book for his little sister who had cerebral palsy.
Hope she likes it!

Also, I can not understand someone waiting in line and working in MINUTES when referring to the release date of a friggin' book. I can barely understand it for consoles! No... you know what? I don't even understand it for consoles... or the re-re-re-re-re-re-release of Star Wars.
As far as books are concerned... well, as much as it pains me to say this and may make me look un-intelligent, I guess I just don't like to read that much.

have you seen the original photos? they are taken at an obscure angle towards a book whos pages aren't flat, and they are jpeg compressed to the bare minimum readability.Electric Rain wrote:...Or they just used an OCR program... like I said...
