And I was wondering, has anyone else downloaded the torrent? :P I thought I'd tip everyone off here, it's out there, I've read it, it's amazing!!! Some guy got a hold of a copy and took pictures of every page. They're not the greatest resolution, but with a bit of adjustments, they're quite readable!

If you're looking for the right torrent, it's the one that is right around 74MB. The other ones range from fake fan fictions to viruses, so beware!

But anyway, If anyone else has read the book, don't put spoilers here! This is just to inform everyone that the book has indeed been leaked!

This reminds me of when I got hold of an English Pokemon FR and LG Rom 1 year before they were released

I don't like books but I'm sure my parents would like to read it so I'll get it for them. How many pages is it? I'm guessing 500ish?

At least someone hasn't taken the time to type the images up.

A) This seems like... beyond illegal, but putting that aside... B) if someone went through the trouble of scanning each page, why wouldn't they just use an OCR program...? :? Wouldn't even have to type it all out that way.

No, they took the physical book, laid it flat on the ground, and took a picture of both pages. Then they flipped the page, and did it again. The quality is really low, and the text is slanted at different angles in every picture, not to mention there are 2 pages per picture, so ocr wouldn't work out so great.

Well the pictures aren't scanned, they're definitely just photographed, and occasionally you have to guess on what words are. Overall there is only one picture of two pages that is completely unreadable, but the rest are fine, but still rather blurry. Oh, and it's apparently 784 pages in the American Edition (says Wikipedia), but the one I read had 759, so that's a bit strange...

If you count every single sheet, front and back (blank pages, about the author, title pages, table of contents...) it's 784.

I read it 2 nights back and it was the most fail book I've read since school (making it the only book I've read since school). If it was real, J.K. Rowling did a horrendous job of finishing the series.

Oh, and if I see any spoiler in here, you're banned. :P

I looked down at my keyboard, scrolled down to the bottom of the page, and hit reply as quickly as possible, trying to avoid any spoilers there might be.

Not sure when my sister's going to get book VII but I will hopefully get to read it before her, modesty aside, I'm a much faster reader.

Where do you guys go to camp out for it? I went to Barnes & Nobles for the party stuff when the 5th came out, but then we left and went to Albertson's to buy it, only like 3 people in front of me. Then I somehow didn't know the 6th was coming out, so I got it about a week late, after reading half of my friend's copy. I think I'll just go to Albertson's tomorrow night at 11:30 for mine.

I'm going at midnight to my local Barnes and Noble, it should be pretty well attended. I didn't go to the midnight party for the 6th, but I did for the 5th. The party for the fifth book had all kinds of cool stuff like trivia, games, free stuff, it was pretty fun.

Sky, if you're serious about your spoiler warning, I'll put *NO SPOILERS* in the thread name so that it won't scare people away.
