Re: Cartridge Slot For Sega Radica. HELP NEEDED.
It isn't that hard to do, just patience and a good soldering iron.
Those extra pins on the cart slot are left unconnected, (NC = not connected), from what I understand these other pins on the cart are extra address lines for the larger games, that took up more space on the cart.

Are you misinterpreting the diagram?
look at the mistake I made in my blog, and the updated diagram to solve some of the ambiguity
http://www.electronicgeek.wordpress.com
also check for shorts, and that the correct voltages are being delivered to the cart.

small screen led mod
I am having trouble led modding my hip gear screen, with it being small I can't get a very even covering of light from the leds. Any suggestions?
I am using the existing cclf diffuser with 3 1000mcd 120 deg viewing angle smd leds evenly spaced at the top where the tube was.

Re: Cart slot as tight as a twelve-year-old's toes:
you could use a small screwdriver to bend back the connections, though you would have to be careful to not do it too much. Your idea is probably better to get an even loosening of slot, maybe wrap the cart connector in paper or thin card and insert it.

I am fairly sure that the conclusion from the Spanish forum was to switch the OE and CE lines on the diagram in the downloads section, though I don't think anyone here has tried it.

WTB - Hip gear LCD screen
Due to massive stupidity on my part I broke the flat flex cable on my hip gear (Intec) screen and was wondering if anyone had killed their board and was willing to sell on the working lcd. I am in the UK but as it is a small part postage shouldn't be too much from anywhere.
