if you look at the picture of the insides i think it shows that they are on the bottom of the unit ... which would be the 2 sets of 3 holes on the outside

So i figured out that it was a solder problem that was messing with me. So i ended up using a switch to switch between the red wires (wire that gives the signal to which button you are pressing). Now EVERYTHING WORKS, put everything together, played for like 20 minutes before ... my problem part ...

so i slept in about an hour longer than i wanted too so didnt get much work done, and what i did get done really makes no sense. I tried doing the switch on the white and realized for some reason it didnt help my problem and the built in controller was actually working without it even connected ...

it feels like im talking to myself right now but o well

after doing a little research (should have started with that) i have found that the controller is driven my latches and clocks (should have known that because there are only like 5 wires for 12 buttons), so my idea of connecting the 2 ...

the second player works fine because it only has that one connection on it. Im pretty sure the only keys that work with pressing them at the same time are the ABYZ, the start select dpad has no effect when i press the same key at the same time.

Is there another way i could connect the built in ...
