sorry for posting in the wrong thread, but your Audio Issue Thread is closed. I had the same Problem on a PAL SNES. Bridging the I and the O on the Place where the 7805 is originally connected ( I think you removed it when you feeding 5 Volts from the screen ) gave me Audio. If it works ...

Well, it's got to have an audio IC somewhere, but I have no clue what it looks like on the PAL SNES. The reason I ask is that if you were to tap the audio straight from the source, you would know if you fried something or not. I suggest doing some searching to see if you can find the component ...

Good god. I never thought I'd get to make this post! :D

After searching long and hard, and soldering my fingers to various IC's and bits of protoboard, I've found the near-mythical Audio IC on the PAL SNES.

It's no secret where it is on the Mini Snes, the portabalisers choice, but for those of use ...

Are you soldering to the audio pins on the A/V connector or the sound chip directly?

I'm using the AV connector, I have no idea what or where the sound IC is, or the pinouts for it. All the instructions for wiring sound from an IC are for the mini SNES, as well, and the PAL SNES Doesn't appear to ...

Rightey ho, I'm doing my level best to get myself a working Portable SNES, based on a PAL version - no mini board for me <_<

Anyway, after almost a year, three screens and a fair ammount of singed flesh, I'm almost done. I just need to sort the audio, add a charging circuit, and stick it in a case ...
