ok i need some help here. i need to know if there is a way to replace the copper contact on a circuitboard. i was soldering a lead on to a board and i guess i held the iron there too long and the copper square that the wire connects to came off the board. is there any way to relace it or is the ...

Joystick compatibility...

just a quick sidenote, seems the potentiometers in the Microsoft Sidewinder joysticks are 100% compatible with those of the 360 controller. took the right analog stick's potentiometers out and soldered in the ones from the Sidewinder and works like a charm.

would i be able to replace an existing one in a joystick with a larger one or does it need to be one of similar value? ... btw im kinda new at all this and am just learning the terminology and such. which is kinda funny considering the project i have started.

is anyone out there familiar with potentiometers and how to tell their strength and compatibility with others? .... namely the ones from the 360 and various joysticks.
