Re: Portable NES (Non-Homemade)

Re: Portable Genesis/Sega cd battery
Ok, I finished the portable and found out that the regular cd battery only holds 125 blocks which is ridiculous because you can only have one game saved at a time, anyway will the Japanese version of the back up cartridge work on an American Sega CD system? both model 2's

Re: Portable Genesis/Sega cd battery
ok, It did work when I tested it, but I decided to use a 9.6v rc car battery, I just hope I can get a connector at radio-shack.

Portable Genesis/Sega cd battery
I am throwing together a portable Genesis and thought I should mention it, I am using a pocket tv and a model 3 Genesis. I am making the case out of wood and doing it in a way that I don't really have to solder anything because I am sick of doing that and am not very good at it, anyway I am powering ...

Re: Nes Zapper Stopped Working
That's Exactly what happened, two of the controller port wires inside the Nes were pinched, it must have happened when I opened it to replace the pins. I never looked at those controller ports inside before, they are a much better design then the other systems I have worked on (Sega, Atari) where ...

Re: Nes Zapper Stopped Working
the reason I said that was because it said on the box that it is compatible with CRT monitors, but it also said it came with an extension cable and it didn't, anyway the plug barley fit and when I finally managed to cram it in there (carefully) it didn't work. I tried to combine the two to make one ...

Re: Nes Zapper Stopped Working
I thought the new one was n.o.s but it turned out to be a new third party, oh well i'm going to try to put the insides into the old one and use the old trigger mechanism because the new one is lousy. Also I think it is compatable with flat screen tvs.

Re: Nes Zapper Stopped Working
Nope, it definitely not the tv, it worked on it before, and it is a tube tv. It's also not the controller port either, I ordered a brand new one in the box off Ebay for $5, but I would still like to fix the old one.I still think it is probably that l.e.d looking thing.I carry around the system in a ...

Nes Zapper Stopped Working
My NES Zapper always worked and now it just stopped, I opened it up and all the connections look fine, what usually goes wrong on these things? and is that a regular led in the front? maybe it is burned out or broken.

Re: pc games on sega cd
that's kind of what I thought, it was just an idea. What I meant with Doom was mostly to add the levels that were left out in the 32x version, they left out the entire fourth episode and a few levels from the third.

pc games on sega cd
Would it be possible for someone who knew a lot about programming to be able to convert certain pc games to run on the Sega cd or cd/32x? I'm guessing not very easily, otherwise it probably would have been done before. It would be great to be able to play games like Strife, Heretic, Betrayal in ...
