iPod mini; I've had mine for ~4.5 years, and it's quite excellent, and probably fairly cheap on eBay and the like. I just had to replace my battery in mine a few months back; cost me a whopping $5.

Earbuds would be best, I'm gonig to be carrying it about in my pocket a lot. I've looked at some of the lower end Sennheisers, but I'm not sure if they'd give me much of an improvement over the Sonys.

Alright, finally got around to trying it with another cart, and worked right away, so it's the Moonwalker cart that's the issue. I'll try and open the cart and give it a good clean when I get chance. Thanks guys.

If its just around the screw the white stuff isnt the problem. Check and see if theres some capacitors or somthing that leaked thogh. They might need replaceing. What purity of alcohol did you use? It can tell the program you have a different graphics chip, and can emulate things like T&L. I've had success with a couple of things on my old S3 UniChrome Pro, so it might work for what you need.
