Simply score the lexan with a scoring tool or x-acto knife. Score it a few times and break it by hand. It works great and leaves a perfectly staight edge.

It's pretty simple to see that it's true, a speaker can be used as a microphone. These simple devices just use vibrations, of course a speaker is not designed to be as sensitive to them as a microphone.

ok, i finally got it, wow that sucked. I dropped a blotch of melted solder right on the middle of the board at one point. (luckily it all stayed together and didnt stick to anything very hard.) Yet even after close inspection i missed a small piece shorting a resister out.... Whew, nice to have that ...

hmmm, i didnt figure that would work. I've tried inputing 7.5 volts like you would on a psone screen and got the same result... Does your screen have large capaciter sticking out the back, unlike the psone.

I just figured they had changed the way the voltage is input to the screen, since where the ...

also, check the side of the board, there is another ground (GND 2). You can save yourself some trouble, and just start fresh there.

Psone Screen cycling

Ok, i have the Verge psone screen, it has worked great until recently, i redesigned my case, and rewired things. Now when I turn on the playstation the screen cylcles and in the back i can see the playstation logo. I fear that this is a voltage problem, since the Verge screen has its own external dc ...

I've never worked with or on a psp, but my advice is to make sure you have no blown fuses. For example, the psx has a series of fuses which i noticed one must be almost entirely for the laser assembly, which would make sense. Because it's probably the only thing using that 3.3 volts.

Not likely, my video wire is just an IDE wire with exposed ends which were soldered. Possible, but probably not the case as I see it. Although sheilding is probably grounded and thus I will repeat everyone elses advice on making sure the grounds are hooked up.

Youre picuture is not very great... but yes you should be able to use the power adapter to feed 7.5 volts into the psone, and wired in parallel the screen as well. All the grounds of course can be connected together. I've not tested this so I'm not promising the ac adapter will handle the extra load ...

Yes, a simple two pole switch will do the trick for video. Three pole would alow you to go...ontv...onscreen...both or off. From my experience it is also possible to run bot simultaniously, though the tv's scanlines are slightly more visible.

Get a meter and test it, though if I remember right, that's just a two pole switch. The points are two pairs of duplicates. Which basically implies that you can solder them all together and it will do the job. But you probably should check that with a meter.

I'm not 100% sure, but on my psxp I just soldered a wire to a ground terminal on the playstation and then connected it to the ground wire coming in to the psone screen for power.

Someone please confirm, or expand on what im saying before you try this.

yeah it fit alright, its about .5 cm too long but thats not a big deal. Im going to just make a little extension for the case to cap it off. As for width, its perfect, I actually used the mount that is under the board in the playstation.

I just finished the wiring today, BTW, and it works great ...
