As far as reliable goes I thought the connectors of the front loading NES wore out because how it loaded, you had to push in at a weird angle. The top loading NES, although pretty much the same connector, didn't wear out did it?
Besides, I've fixed I think a total of 6 NES consoles just buy using a ...

Re: Modding a front loading NES into a top loading NES
Wow, that is one heck of a mod. I just wanted to use the NES case.
As far as the 72 pin cartridge slot, there are places to get those. I could also remove the one in the NES and re-use it, just wire all the bins to the PCB board. I just want to see how other people do it, it's not that I can't ...

Modding a front loading NES into a top loading NES
I swear I've seen a few sites on how to mod a normal front loading NES into a top loading NES. I've tried googleing it a few times with no luck. Even with different terminology.
The reason I ask is I have 4 working NES consoles, all the old front loading kind, and I'm going to get this years 8-BIT ...

Good site for CNC case construction.
Hey, I was wondering if anyone knows of a good site that has lots of pics on making a CNC case for either a handheld or a computer. I want to see what it would take to make a netbook case for the BeagleBoard.

Well, I think these kind of delays are normal, the only difference being that the devs talk to us. If this was a product of Sony or Nintendo we'd never hear anything.
The money thing I'm not sure about. I lost some money in the exchange rate also, not $50 though, but the extra memory pays for it. I ...

5"-7" screens?
Does anyone know of a good place to get larger screens? Well, 5"-7". I remember reading on here once and someone posted a link to a site that just sold screens. I'm not going to use it to hack a system per say, I'm building a small computer with a beagleboard and would like a touch screen. This was ...

Gutting a Nomad
I have an old Nomad that has been broken for years, and the screen is scratched badly, but the case is in excellent shape. I was thinking of getting one of those Genesis-on-a-chip things and switching the guts out. I haven't gotten it open yet, it has a weird security screw, so I'm looking into that ...

Cutting down FB 2.0?
The FB 2.0 is an awkward size, but can any of that be cut off and redone, kinda like what Ben did with the controler board in the Phoenix? At the very least you can put the cartridge slot wherever you want and it's a lot thinner than an original, and I would suspect it uses less power. I'm pretty ...
I hope that gp32z has enough units for all the preorders. I think this handheld will be huge on the home-brew scene.
Thanx,
