Cutting down FB 2.0?

Post by second.exodous »

The FB 2.0 is an awkward size, but can any of that be cut off and redone, kinda like what Ben did with the controler board in the Phoenix? At the very least you can put the cartridge slot wherever you want and it's a lot thinner than an original, and I would suspect it uses less power. I'm pretty sure we'll find out when Ben hacks one.

Thanx,
Stan

you might be able to, but it would onlt be an inch or two. I was concitering it untill I decided to make a landscape portable, in which case it i dont need to cut it down. And it does take a whole lot less power to run.

forgot to mention to avoid confusion to second.exodus: I split this topic from another thread, since it was slightly off topic, and the thread was old

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

Oh, ok, I thought I hit new topic instead of reply by accident.

I hadn't thought of making it a landscape portable collingall2005, this way the board wouldn't need to be cut down. UPS is bringing mine today, so I'll get to open it up and see what it's like. For now I'm just going to do this mod to get carts working. It might also give me a jump-start on making it portable, but it might hinder more than help.

Thanx,
Stan
