I would like to say that I JUST ripped apart a Dual Shock PS1 controller, and despite the fact I spent around an hour trying to put it back together correctly, the traces are WAY too close! There is NO possible way I could solder those and not ground something.

How do you split a PS1 controller?

I'm having some trouble here, and I'm really stumped. I can't seem to find a decent source stating how to do this, and I would seriously appreciate ANY help I could get here.

And in case you didn't catch the title, I'm talking about splitting a PS1 controller, or a Dual Shock. Now, I'm alts ...

Ahem, I would like to state that I have VERY little experience with handhelds, other than playing the ones that Nintendo has released, and ripping apart systems and controllers. However, I believe that you could indeed just rip apart a third party SNES controller, which in many cases should just ...

It wouldn't cost a terrible lot, no need for me to save cash. :P

I'm a huge Metroid fan, although I'm more of a fan of the Prime series than the classic sidescroller. When that game hits the store shelves, I'm buying it the moment I lay my eyes on it! This game is online, an awesome looking FPS ...

I'm an idiot when it comes down to batteries..

I'm highly interested in creating my own portable, and I'm currently looking at an SNES at the moment. I have around 6 Ni-MH AA batteries hanging around with, what appears to be, 1800 mAH per battery. Now, how much mAH or mA (I really don't even know what that is!) does a mini SNES and a 5 inch PS1 ...

I was thinking about buying one, but it looks like I won't be now.

I'm thinking about making an attempt at a "semi-N64P&qu

I have been watching this place for over a year now, and I'm really impressed. I'm thinking about startin a somewhat N64P, which probably won't go very far, but I am interested nonetheless. I recently aquired an N64 for 5 dollars at an auction, with around 10 controllers that are in failry decent ...
