I'm an idiot when it comes down to batteries..

Post by darkarrow52 »

I'm highly interested in creating my own portable, and I'm currently looking at an SNES at the moment. I have around 6 Ni-MH AA batteries hanging around with, what appears to be, 1800 mAH per battery. Now, how much mAH or mA (I really don't even know what that is!) does a mini SNES and a 5 inch PS1 screen take up, and would my 6 batteries be enough to power it? And could I have an estimate of how long I can actually play my SNES?

I would really appreciate ANY help here. I seriously want to get an SNES going here. I even have a charger to boot!

Well, usually a safe bet is 7.2v @ maybe 2000mA, so no, you batteries wouldn't be enough to supply the proper mA.
