Hack Micro PDA keyboard

I have a Micro Innovations PDA keyboard model TKB160P that was designed for a Palm m125/m130/m500/m515 and I'd like to add it to a small homebuilt computer. Despite the huge Palm connector on the outside, I opened it up and there's only 3 wires connected to the keyboard - Vcc, Gnd and PE3 (serial ...

You'll need a 3.5mm Stereo Plug/2 RCA Plug cable for audio. Radio Shack used to sell these for about $4 but now I think they just sell the Monster Cable version for $20. You can buy a 6 foot version on www.monoprice.com for $2

There's a simpler method - use an RJ45 coupler to connect two ethernet cables together. Or just buy a longer cable. www.monoprice.com has RJ45 coupler's for $.49 and a 25 foot Category 5E ethernet cable will run you $3.72

An iMac with 32 MB of RAM isn't useable - even with OS9. Add at least (1) 128 MB SO-DIMM if you plan on staying with OS9.

Yes, you can install OSX 10.2 on an original 233 MHz iMac. But you'll need to add a 256MB SO-DIMM memory module and you'll need to upgrade the firmware in OS9 before installing ...

If you're going mail-order - I like http://www.glitchbuster.com/ because there are no minimums, $1.95 shipping per order and prices are much better than Radio Shack

I just finished playing a Scorched3d game with 3 OSX users - I think that's a record. Most of the other users were running Linux and the minority was Windows users!

I've tried BZFlag - but never lasted more than a few rounds. Everyone seems to target the new guys quickly. I've spent a lot more time playing Scorched3d, which is a free 3D version of Scorched Earth and it works on Windows, Linux and Macs. http://www.scorched3d.co.uk/

The Mac mini will run Garageband but it's not a very good choice because the the computer contains a laptop hard drive (running at 4200 or 5400 RPM) and OSX and applications access the hard drive all the time. A used PowerMac G4 running at least 1 GHz with 512 MB of RAM, a 7200 RPM hard drive and a ...

I'm cheap and weight doesn't matter. Anyone care to guess the life of a PSOne (stock) running on a single 7.2 V NiMH (3300 mAh) pack?

Thanks for the info. How long do you think a single 7.2V NiMH battery pack will last assuming it just powers the PSOne screen (unmodified).
