Electric Banjo

Post by Joes2Silly »

I just thought about a crazy idea to cross a electric guitar and a banjo to form a electric banjo. Is this possible, and would a banlo actually explode if you tried to plug a amp into it :?:

A banjo, like an acoustic guitar, gets it's sound from the design. You can get a banjo effect by playing an electric guitar that goes through certain filters. I can't remember where, but I'm sure I've seen schematics for a guitar filter.

No, you put audio filters on the guitar's signal line.

Nos is saying you can turn a GUITAR into a BANJO.

As for electrifying the B-j, There are electro-acutsic guitars (my personal fav), check for pick-ups for a banjo, I guess....

Aw, man... if you can find that I would be uber grateful. I have a friend that may be interested, especially if I can build it :)

Brother collected said banjo filter, don't how he got it or what happened to it. You COULD always buy an electric banjo, like these. http://www.deeringbanjos.com/crossfire.htm

yeah, but Americans are all a bunch of genetic mutts*. In this case, I am part German. :P

Disclaimer: Before you flame me for what I said, look at yourself, and those around you. If you are american, you probably have at least 2 nationalities. if not you, you most likely know others of different ones. We've all been so mixed, compared to other countries.
