I just thought about a crazy idea to cross a electric guitar and a banjo to form a electric banjo. Is this possible, and would a banlo actually explode if you tried to plug a amp into it

My friend made an electric mandolin. it wont blow up, because you just taking the pick ups out, so itle be exactly like an electric guitar, except its a banjo

A banjo, like an acoustic guitar, gets it's sound from the design. You can get a banjo effect by playing an electric guitar that goes through certain filters. I can't remember where, but I'm sure I've seen schematics for a guitar filter.

No, you put audio filters on the guitar's signal line.

Nos is saying you can turn a GUITAR into a BANJO.

As for electrifying the B-j, There are electro-acutsic guitars (my personal fav), check for pick-ups for a banjo, I guess....

he uses an electric banjo. pretty damn cool sounding.
