Im making an N64 portable and am wondering what controller I should use. I want to replace the C-buttons with a gamecube C-stick and the joystick with the Gamecube joystick. Thanks,

Then it has to be a third party controller.mymixed wrote:Im making an N64 portable and am wondering what controller I should use. I want to replace the C-buttons with a gamecube C-stick and the joystick with the Gamecube joystick. Thanks,

The Superpad 64 is one of the best to use.

Re: N64 Controllers
Sorry, I saw that post but I thought it was only compatible with the original controller.

The c button replacement is compatible with any n64 controller, its the the analog stick replacement that requires a 3rd party controller (well technically you could swap the analog stick on a first party controller but its much harder).mymixed wrote:Sorry, I saw that post but I thought it was only compatible with the original controller.

Re: N64 Controllers
I'm going to have to agree with this, but there is one controller which is much better.hailrazer wrote:The Superpad 64 is one of the best to use.
The Tomee N64 controller
This controller is pretty small, works perfectly, and uses a Psone Joystick.

Haven't see enough people use it to prove that it is better than the Superpad.
We'll see.

Thanks, I went with the superpad because I've seen a lot of portables with it. Its cheep too
.
Re: N64 Controllers
or you can just chop up a controller mobo without blowing 80$ on a controller.
