Is there any way a PSOne Screen can do S-Video at all? And are there different types of S-Video for different regions, like NTSC and PAL?
My laptop does S-Video, and when I tie Luma and Chroma together it becomes NTSC Composite.

No. Yes, S-Video is not the same for NTSC and PAL. RGB is the only thing that's 'universal'. If peppers is right, and you want to display a PAL device on the PSOne screen, the easist way is to connect it to the RGB input (PSOne port), as most PAL devices output RGB.Foxx373 wrote:Is there any way a PSOne Screen can do S-Video at all? My laptop is a 17 inch widescreen. I cant always have the screen flipped up and still be able to do "stuff". But thats not what im using it for. *O* is trying to get his hands on a screen for a reasonable price for his N64p, but gettig a PAL version isnt easy for him. He cant do an RGB mod either. Since i know a bit about electronics and crap, Im trying to figure out some way he can use an NTSC screen.

Other than that, he could get a PAL to RGB converter, or maybe the decoder chip(s) in the PSOne is switchable between formats (new oscilator + jumper settings).
