I am planning on making a PS2 Portable. Not an ultraportable, or even a handheld, but an extremely simple one. So, before I spend $300 on parts, I need to know if my setup will work.

Setup
1. Plug the screen in the back of the PS2, since the bottom of the screen (I hope) SHOULD look like this:

2. Plug the battery into the back of the LCD

Calculations
The PS2 and the LCD are connected in parallel
A 9volt battery should work with these 8.5volt components
10 watts/8.5 volts=1.17 amps (this conversion is for the LCD)
1.17amps(LCD) + 5.4amps (PS2) = 6.57amps
So, 8amps(battery) / 6.57amps(components) = 1.21 hours of playtime

This battery is 20 amps, so...

Omg, that thing is a beast and a half
Oh well, an hour and a half is good enough... and small enough
