I know this has probably already been asked, but can someone give and explain about the SF2 radica?
As in, what lead goes where, and the like. Kinda like "Paint by numbers" except it's more like "Solder a cartslot to a radica by numbers", if you know what I mean.
Help would be appreciated!
SF2 Radica pinouts?
Moderator: Moderators
There's no guide for that one, or even anyone that has posted that they have had success with particular Radica on this forum.
If you can read Spanish there seems to be most of the information you need in this thread: http://www.elotrolado.net/showthread.ph ... genumber=4
Note: if you can read Spanish, a summary and how to in English posted to these forums would be very helpful, as the automatic translation by Google and Altavista are severly lacking.

I got someone to do a translation. It's not that revealing though -
...I should've gotten a sensible soccer radica, I guess. Would've saved hassle.
Now, from the list of pinouts at the top, should I just go ahead and solder the pins from the cartslot to the matching named-pins in the diagram lower down on the spanish page?There is line that neither is nor a normal cartridge use, this is the palette(?) of a cartridge of megadrive removed from a page of several pinouts:

as varies for a ROM the necessary sideburns estan, that are those of DATA and ADDRESS, the rest of sideburns uses them for 32X, games like the VITUA RACING (that nonsingle is a ROM, if uC and memoeria) then with these do not need communication with signal clock, reset, video for overlay in 32x, etc... logicamente this noncivil employee, single roms. Notese that that in the image of Skittle does not agree with the address sideburns that and put I but single because in one it begins to name them from A1 and another one from A0, but are the same ones. the idea to put it in a EPROM or EEPROM is good, the only problem that I see is that to record the games already you need a programmer, that ademas are not faciles to do, like those the PIC's. clear everybody podria not to do this, I because in curro(?) I have one but great majority of eolianos(?) cannot access it. the serious idea is to make a progam easily constructable and that was used as a flash instead of one eprom(?) which they are but easy to program, like my cartridge:
<picture>
<picture>
cmo podeis (Damn Spanish shorthand!!) to see (to to mier * to left blurred) good me creeis possible if I say to you that it is to be seen to FPGA XILINX, flash of 64Mbit (8Mb) and to SRAM of 128Kb with to battery to keep the saved games, because that is another disadvantage, the saved games, because with single 27cxxx loads the saved game but chungo(?). Oprogramador(?) And like podreis(I hope most of this is just technobabble =.=) to see my simple FLASH of megadrive is very to construct, that ace much single it takes to for resistance PULL UP each dates line and direct directions of the parallel portto(Port, I'm guessing) to for connector the cartridge and to connector USB to feed it.
<picture>
in my principle serious idea is to use it with games and in my case with the flash, but when I do it in portable it will integrate my FLASH and will clear the connector of cartridges.
If you fijais(?) in the image of Skittle of the ROM of is next to the connector of the cartridge, it is loses two lines of address (A21 and 22), means that instead of being able to handle a ROM(several in a single cartridge)(?) of 8Mb(ROMs of 128Mbit max that is able to direccionar(?) megadrive, 2^23 line that takes a normal ROM from A0 to the A22 that podeis(?) to see in the connector) like maximo, single is able to direccionar 2Mb(ROMs of 32Mbit Max, 2^21 with 16 bit by Byte). or of in case it says to us that SUPER game STREET FIGHTER 2 of 40Mbit(2,5Mb) does not work (or it was hung in a while of the game), and my flash I imagine that single the games worked that esten engravings until the direction which they mark 2Mb (32Mbit) to if that in case of being able to put one 27cxxx as maximo used 2Mb(32Mbit) but almost all the games were of 32Mbit to if that we will remain without being able to enjoy some, I believe that uncio that it surpassed that number was super street fighter 2, and of hehco completes line, A22, I believe that never they got it to use for the games, serian(?) games of until 128Mbit, that happened.
Another idea that also tapeworm was to do with the ROM of the original SF2 of is a cartridge not to waste that plaquita(?) at least.
And megadrive 3 was seriously interesting to see it on the inside (I do not have it, walks is possible to be obtained) because the same this if it has the 23 lines of address and he is but(?) compatible.
greetings to cough!

I think so on the pinout usage. I was hoping to get a geek to translate it, as that doesn't make much more sense than the automatic translations I got, probably do to technical jargon.Lorelis-san wrote:I got someone to do a translation. It's not that revealing though - <snip>

I've never even heard of the sensible soccer radica before, so you'd likely be in even more trouble doing that one. Only the Red and Blue have been confirmed to work on these forums.
