Alright I got my YOBO, yay

anyway, I have had only minor compatibility probs, mainly castlevania 3, are there any other games with differences in the chipset (like CAstlevaina 3 or othewise) that do not agree with the yobo NOAC?

any help is greatly appreciated

I think the compatibility for the Yobo varies. I made a topic like this too and one of the games I had that didn't work, worked great on someone elses yobo (I think it was RoadBlasters). I'll find the topic and link ya to it.

Yeah, it's not surprising that CV3 ain't working, it is probably got the most complex mapper of any liscensed NES game that I know of. It's the MMC5, and it relies heavily on proper NMI timings, which of course, as I may have said before, the NOAC tends to butcher.

I have heard that the USA release of CV3 is hard to make work in nearly anything but a USA version NES because of timing issues. If you really desire to play CV3 on your noac, may I recoomend that you seek out the Famicom version. It would need a little conversion to work properly, because it has a special audio chip inside (sounds awesome, I will say!) and you will need to make a way for that audio signal to get into your NOAC's audio line. I have done something similar, but not with a NOAC, I wanted the JAP version of CV3 because it has such good sound, so i modded my NES to accept audio signals through the cart slot. I posted some good info on that around here probably about a month or two ago.
