Superjoy III (red) no sound

I recently bought a Superjoy III (red) from a guy at AtariAge, he says that it has no sound. What could be the problem with it, or can I get sound off the board when I start making my portable, and how can I fix it? It has a Famicom port, and built in games.

just look at pinout ben has on the downloads page and follow that back to the chip!

yeah I drew them up in protel and my etching tanks are ready to be fired up i will also have genny to sms

sweet! I wouldn't mind getting some when you're done.

I was going to buy a copy of Sonic or Madden or some cheap crap and build one into it by just screwing in the connector to the top and soldering wires down to the Genesis pins. But if you're making a board for them, then all the better. Will you be making them with a place to connect the reset button on the circuit too? (or does the circuit you're using not include that?)
I'll probably want some NES->Famicom adapters too, if you're selling them cheaper than others.

If you can name an adapter Im making it I even have a wave solderer made out of a toaster to solder them

I'm wondering what the IC is on the Tototek version of the SMS-Genesis adapter. Maybe something to do with playing Mark III games? *shrug*

hmm... I was thinking of doing that, but I was going to use a toaster oven I have laying around

Also, what kind of solder are you using, paste solder or solder tabs?

I dont know got it out of a dumpster which plant had a wave solderer but mine is a toaster that feeds the things on a belt and industrial toaster

I think everyone said what could be said- sound comes directly from the NOAC. Connect the pin to a sound output and it should work. If it doesn't, the NOAC is defective or broken. Simple as that.
