here are some old pics of when i started my project:
still have to finish my gc project so i think i will do that first
and for the battery life i will make one internal to least about 1 or 2 hours i hop and also make a external battery pack with card to get an extra 3 or 4 hours of time with a long kabel so you can put i like in your backpack or soemthing like that
i'n not quite sure about the battery but first i want to make the portable a small as possible

what battery u useing cause with extra stuff the gc is gana take up more amps
and i think its already difficult to find one that will power the gc and screen more than a hour.??
also nice idea to slim the stuff down (iwonder how big the gba player board is anyway)
p.s why but in a network adapter its just gana take up space cause what it has one game online and one other u can hack to be online
and the battery that i have are 8 x 3.7 v 4000 mah but i don't think that will do i might use that as an external batery pack but i have to get a different battery pack more amps and higer voltage
and the gba player only uses amps when it's on and seeing it's only on when i put the disk in the reader it doesn't use the battery
and for the network card i want that in cause i am putting in a modchip
so then i can stream my legal backup games to my pc
this is gana be a nice gcp if u get a good battery in my battery topics i posted two nice batteries one of them some one found for really cheap the other not yet but the other one is a nice battery but u might not like the battery sizes seeing how ur sliming everything down to the furthest degree
p.s u should right like alittle how to one how to slim down the gc mother board i know most of it is desoldering but if u put the the controller pin out and power regulator it be usefully.
about the thickness. i've been playing around allot to make it as slim as possible but it is very difficult indeed that stupid lens is so damn thick and big that i get's me on my nerves.
the thing is with out the lens i could make it close to 4 cm
but with the lens it would be about 4 cm on the sides and in the middel where the lens will be it would be 6 cm
so i tries making the lens slimmer than it already is but that failed copulate up a lens that way so making it smaller is out of the question.
now i saw this new gc modchip that allows a hdd to be used and a laptop hdd is slimmer than a gc lens so i might try that bbut seeing the chip isn't out yet i have to wait for now i'm checking what the best placement is for the boards and checking out batterys that have allot of amps allot of voltage and are very small hahahah very hard to fing but i'll keep searching.
by the way i've have been thinking of making a portable xbox the same way as the gamecube by cutting the motherbaord in half and soldering all the point back to gether again is a crap of wire but might just work and be quite small even smaler than the slimline ps2 only a bit thicker beacause of the heatsink. anyway please let me know if anybnody has any idea to perfect the gc xbox ps2 portable cause i'm going to make um all and a small as can be
and i am aware that soldering is a lot of work but he it's a challange and i have enough soldering skill to do it so i might first see how small i can make it en then see if it is worth the time
and a hdd in the gamecube is to store the games on silly all the games i have i can then stream to my hdd so i don't need the lens
that means i have less thick portable and more games on the go
but that chip isn't out yet so i will proberly will make the portable just with the lens
yea if ur trying to make the portable slim ur better off with the lens cause even though a laptop hdd is small u have to put in a mod chip and the broad band adapter
unless u plan on putting them on anyway but i dont know a lot about mod chips so i dont know what good that would do
if u keep the syste, simple u could probley make it real slim
also if u find a good battery for the gc post it up im looking for one to.
