game cube life time
ive been gradutally building a gcp but i would like to know if anyone could tell me how much game time i would get off of 4 lithium polymer batterys at
14.8 volts 6 amps total 3.7 1.5 amps each
i dont know what im useing for a screen i left another topic under screen hacking to decide weither i should use a portable dvd screen
but all i need to know is the game cube playing time for now
i'd apperciate it

for squee its like i have four lithium polymers
they each have 3.7 volts
and they each have 1500 mili amps
i plan on useing all of them in series or in parallel i forget witch one is the one i want (my electrical knowledge is a really rusty i took a long brake from this project i gata get back in tune)
but yea the one that makes them add up two 14.8 volts (think its series)
in the end they should power 14.8 volts and 6000 mili amps
but yea im going back to this project after making the case but not liking it . but now i think i have a really good idea for a case plus last time i had it all running off of a big battery that was no was good for a handheld if some one has suggestions on batterys (cheaper the better) (and long lasting hopefully) also charging batties i like to know a good set up for rechargeing any batteries the info is probley hear some where but every time i search something it gives me 50 pages of random stuff on the forum so ..

ok sry i was thinking of useing heatsinks instead of fans because i was looking at gamlver pics and it looked like thats all he did (i could be wrong just goin by pics) and as for screen i have no idea im in the works(dont have one at the moment ) i was just seeing if some one could give me what it would be without the screen like just the system unit.
but plus if useing what i got for batterys will get me a hour then i would probley wana find somthing else its not worth the work for my case plan if i only get a hour so i guess ill forget about the time estimate but im open for battery ideas.

Erm, you might want to change some flaws with that diagram. The connection for ground should go to the controller ground, otherwise the system will not work when you insert a DC plug, and move the + connection to the TV power in spot, otherwise the system will automatically turn on whenever you insert a DC plug (regardless of the power switch, only after fixing the ground too) and may blow up the batteries.S q u e e ! wrote:

with my batteries it was 6000 mili amps divided by 1800 (witch is what gamelver said the game cube takes) + 750 (witch is what is said that the psone screen takes without the led mod)

6000/2550 = 2.35 witch is the playing time (witch got me excited cause what i got the impression was that most a gcp has run for is just over a hour or so)
but i dont know if that would be accurate so .some one tell me who knows

No. You have the math right, but in that equation you're adding both the Mah AND the voltage. With the batteries you have, you have <b>either</b> a 3.7v 6 amp battery pack (which is less than the GCp by 2 amps), <b>or</b> a 14.8v 1500mah battery pack.
In order to have the battery you're thinking of, you need 4 sets of those batteries. each individual set would be wired in parallel, and the sets would be wired together in series.
Just use a couple R/C batteries or a portable DVD player pack like Ben used. I'm using an old laptop battery (12v 4.5 amps)
But you do have the math right:
