I'll try its game cart in one of my NTSC clones when I get home but I'm already pretty much 100% sure all it needs is the 72-pin adaptor to play nes games.

But yeah since it's PAL, I really only have sound to go on. I honestly haven't been looking too hard for a 110-120v adaptor for it. I guess I could plug it into my wall with one of those travel kits (works on my modified euro NeoGeo CD)

maybe there's even a really obvious pal/ntsc jumper inside. I think I'll open it and take some shots after work.

...but there is that plain white sticker that reads "warranty" on the bottom... I'd hate to void that...

the antenna actually attaches to the back. its the tiny square module with the antenna comming out of it. markings on the bottom of the unit suggest it's VHF 11

but anyhow...

inside, instead of one huge hand-soldered board, I have 3 smaller boards--(only one of which is hand soldered). it is a noac inside, I had my doubts before, and was a little afraid to look. the other two boards are for controllers and a/v output. I bet all she needs is a video amp, and a big-ugly-board-ectomy.

Ok, USSR does not exist anymore. It looks like as if you use the pinouts on Portables of Doom!, you might be able to hook it up to NTSC.

Wow, yes, but like vb said, check if the pinouts are similar.
