PSONE controller split

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

PSONE controller split

Sry guys if this has been posted before (the Search button brings crap results) anyways, how do you split a psone controller and re-wire it to work again. I mean like wat do you rewire after u split it.

cut it where you want and rejoin the traces with wires

Traces. The light green things. Scrape the green off with a needle, works best.

Wait, correct me if im wrong, :idea: but u guys mean, take the pin from lets say up on the d pad and take wire and solder the other end to 'up' on the IC chip? :roll:

On top is the PCB. Bottom is the finished part. Just cut the board in half and reconnect the broken traces with wire to make it work again. (of course donb't cut through IC's. :P

so i solder directly on the trace. Sounds crazy, but maybe crazy enough to work :lol: , by the way im sry if i asked this before, what kind of wire would be good for this kind of job thanks.
