This guy has some seriously messed up ideas. Hackers are good. Hackers do nothing but make good, useful, and legal programs. Crackers are bad. Crackers are the people who screw around, and a better video card will not make a person a cracker.

That article scared me... luckily at least one commenter realized what it was: a very long and semi-retarded joke. I doubt even uninformed parent's would come to the conclusion.
Someones been listening to the RIAA to much... (j/k)
I have not! Excuse me for a sec (adjusts stark black business suit and black shiney glasses. Applies "RIAA owns Me, Does it own You?" bumper sticker to black hybrid gas-electric car)

(Lets see here. Say Microsoft pays each employ, oh, 40,000 a year. Now, how many employees do they have...500? No, surely a multi-billion dollar company would have more than that. We will use the incredibly low figure of 1000. So, 1,000 x 40,000. Hmm, that's only 40 Million dollars per year. 3-6 years between OS updates, so that's 120 Million-240 Million dollars EXPENSES as a low estimate. What do you think they do, tell all of the Employees to "go home" after an OS is completed LOL  )

They are still making far more money than they should be, especially for crap like Windows. Turn out extraordinary software, and then you can complain about people downloading, but until then, who cares. These companies and record labels cry about losing money, but they really aren't losing enough to make an impact.

(pats disgusting bloated-times-2 Windows Media Center with extra bloatishous features and new advanc-ed virus inviter for all those "I want a virus" needs) It's OK, Windows. They're laughing with you, not at you- even though they are all pointing at you and throwing stones at you. (more patting)

I think they may be frightened of the number of illegal- I mean, "legally challenged"- downloads increasing. If they do nothing to disuad the violations the increase would start harming them.

If you really think about it, the artists really dont lose money when people pirate mp3s. They just make less money. They already make millions and millions off songs, so a few less million isnt gonna hurt them. If they phisically worked for thousands of hours on each song to make every penny of those millions, then they deserve it. However the truth is they get people to write their songs, who get paid decently, then they sing the songs which takes a few days, and then they get tons of money, for barely any work. If the artists were going bankrupt and not making any money, then it would be bad to share music. But they arent. Theyre sitting on their rich fat asses, complaining about how they only made $50million instead of $51million. Bahh humbug.

I agree: we should hunt down Britney Spears and....well, use your imagination  And no, I don't mean in that way

Come now, Mr. Cool/Kool, you're just jealous that YOU aren't milking society of its money by singing for 3 minutes and going to celeb events. :P
