Sound?..but no Video????

Did anyone ever have the scenario that the hacked portable SNES
has sound BUT NO video?

Well I do now...and I really need help as my SNES portable is a project for a robotics/circuitry class (we get to choose what to do)

The SNES is definitely on, since the sound works...

the method i used to test it was just plug in the original A/V cable to a TV and the original 10V adapter...

Im afraid that I might have shorted something, but I dont remember actually shorting anything, smelling burnt stuff, etc.

If this helps, the only things I did to the SNES to put me in this annoying situation was resoldering the capacitors and changing the RF shield around
by bending it according to the SNES guide on www.doomportables.tk

Project is due in a few days

try taking off the RF shield or if you have a PS1 screen try it on that

Wow I'm also doing a SNESp for my grade 11 engineering class. Its due in about a week, i jsut need to wire the screen ground, and controller, then setup the case.

Ok I had a problem similer to this with my PSOnep. I had wired every single AV wire together and things wouldn't work for crap. So I just wired up the RGB and audio and it worked like a charm.

If you get audio but no video, try running an extra wire from the regulator's output to its input. I don't know why that helps, but gannon told triton to try that, and it worked. Might fix the video problem too.

actually i was getting video but no audio lol, yeah it might still help ya tho
