Return of the PSOne screen??????

Ok, I will start a new thread tonight about this screen with my pictures of the tear down. I just wanted to let everyone know....I just completed the white LED mod on this screen and it works perfect.
The wiring isnt identical, but if you are going to build a portable anyway, you already know how to rewire something. The board and screen are identical to the PsONE screen.
I did get sidetracked last night when I did do the LED mod though, once I was done I hooked it up to my PS2 just to see if it still worked. I got stuck playing Gran Turismo 4 til like 2am. haha.

Just took apart my PSOne screen and looked up the screen number and the controller chips. The LCD itself and main controller chip are both made by Samsung.SNESguy wrote:I don't think the internals are made by Sony or Zenith. I believe that they are made by a third party company who sells the TFT module to companies like Sony who want to make products out of them. Sony doesn't make everything that's in their products. A few years ago, I remember seeing an electronics company selling the modules by themselves. Of course, I haven't seen them in a while...
