I like this line :)
Battery clip - "Free" from radio shack when the employees are distracted, or if you can't afford to steal, just wrap wires around the battery terminals.

I adapted the cheap soldering iorn station mod for this site. (dirty language.)

That's a fun site. Check out the hard drive speakers. (do that to save space in a PCP maybe? lmao)

Thats a COOL site! I love it :D Kinda worthless, but still very cool!
Alternatively you candeliberatly miswire the system, burn out the psx, and create a strobe lighteffect from the power LED. Oh the colours children!
I wonder if it really does strobe?

Heh thanks for the kind words.
Yeah, connecting some of the wires backwards on the psx caused the power LED to blink really fast. I think it was a remnant of 50Hz going into it or something.
Donna sucks now that she is blonde.
I wish you wouldn't imageleech, but I'll forgive you because Ben is a good customer/beta tester

Must be slower than 50Hz, because the human eye can't see faster than 24Hz, which is barely noticeable at that.

"Must be slower than 50Hz, because the human eye can't see faster than 24Hz, which is barely noticeable at that."

That is a widely believed myth that is completely false, and easily proven so. Go to the settings of your machine and change your monitor's refresh rate to 60Hz. Then change it to 85Hz. See a difference? Imagine how flickery things would be at 24Hz..
The same can easily be seen with framerates in 3d games. Throw in a crappy video card and play doom3 at 24fps then get a nice X800 and play at 60fps. The difference is phenomenal.

The myth originates because 15-24hz is around about the time that people stop seeing things as still images, and it all starts to look as if it is moving together in a fluid motion. Faster frame rates mean things will just appear even more and more smooth.

So yeah, I am easily able to see a 50hz flicker.

Well, I've tested it with LEDs and an oscilloscope, and after 30Hz, all you could see was a solid light.
