NINTENDO BACK-COMPATIBILITY SECRET REVEALED
In an article on NESplayer, (in the service manual I think...), Nintendo was asked why there is no backwards-compatibility for NES games on the SNES system. Their response?
(paraphrased)
"we feel no need to have adaptor hardware to play NES games on the Super NES, because most of our buyers already have a NES, they technically already have an adaptor."
Just another big corporate cost-cutting measure.

The question is, once again, did they put the "Nintendo ON" video out in hopes of trying to spark intrest in Nintendo and, in turn, make an attempt to manipulate the market?
