Re: I got an adaptoid!
An adaptoid is an N64-to-USB conversion dongle that has been discontinued for some time and now sells for an inexplicably high premium. As near as I can tell, its only advantage over other converters is that it supports rumble and memory paks.
Re: I got an adaptoid!
Wait... how much could I sell one for?

Re: I got an adaptoid!
Just checked eBay - there's one listed for $90 shipped.Snow_Cat wrote:Wait... how much could I sell one for?
Or there are newer adapters available for $20 that support two simultaneous N64 controllers.
With some experience in PIC programming, it's very doable.Snow_Cat wrote:^ ·̫ · ^ Give me a week, I'll see if I can't make one.
Re: I got an adaptoid!
I didn't find enough information for me to do a blind implementation of the key feature (memory pack access using N64 controller), and I'm not going to buy a console, game, controller and memory pack on a lark.

I got mine for a bit less than that.eagle5953 wrote:Just checked eBay - there's one listed for $90 shipped.Snow_Cat wrote:Wait... how much could I sell one for?
One of the ones I bid on ended up going for $98 plus shipping. It took me a while before I finally won one. I wish I had bought one when they made the last batch of them. I was thinking about it, but ended up not going for it.
