Well, they shouldn't have to invest too much time; Microsoft bought out the makers of Virtual PC a few years back, and have been maintaining it ever since. So, they own a Windows emulator capable of running on G5s, sounds like backwards compatability right there to me...

i heard a couple years ago that microsoft din't want to compete with nintendo and was thinking about cross lisencing with them. halo 2 for ds... *starts drooling*

For the XBos portable. Microsoft came out publicly saying it was quite foolish of Sony to try and compete with Nintendo in the handheld area (HAH!), so I don't think Microsoft will be doing this themselves any time soon.
