The N64 cart connector "plugs" into the expansion port that you ripped off. Now when you push the cart slot into the holes it does not connect with anything. You will have to solder all 50 cart slot pins to the pins that are right next to them where the expansion slot was connected.

oh and also i am halfway through soldering and im kind of sloppy cause my hands shake a lot and will it still work it some of the wires touch or the solder connects to another wire?

I am diabetic and my hands shake also. What I do is rest my hand on the table while soldering. Keeps it steady.

ughhh god this is gonna take for ever!! is there an easier way than soldering all 50?? oh and if not what is the best wire to use?
