where to connect LEDs

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Uhuh.. I guess I will try and see what I can do. I have to get the +5 volts from the screen only right? Cuz there is a +5 volts on the NES that I put there. Would I be able to connect the 2 wires to there?
Sorry for my confusion.

You can get the 5v from the Nes. Sorry I didn't think of that.

Ok cool thanks! So regulator connects to +5v, which connect to the leds and then they connect to the ground. Ok I think I know what to do.

ok so i connected the resistor to the +5 volts on the NES.

then i soldered the positives led leads to the wire connected to it.

this is correct right? do i need to connect the negative leads on the screen groung? the nes's ground wouldn't work would it?

i conttected them like this. just added tape to make it more secure so nothing bad happens. is it ok?

also, they don't seem to be working as of now. idk maybe my battery wasn't fully charged or somehting or something is soldered weird.
thanks for the help!

You have to make sure that you hoked the 5v to the positive lead of each led. The positive leads are the longer leads.

Nevermind. It works!! I connected a cable to the screen wrong. It had nothing to do with the LEDs. I'm happy now. :D
