Portable Help
Hello, I am new to the forums and was wondering what I am doing wrong with my portable atari. I have double checked connections but I can't seem to get it up and running. Any help would be great!

Re: Portable Help
It appears you are doing the old AV mod. Try the newer AV mod. It has much better results.
rest in peace, Ronnie James Dio! \m/
Re: Portable Help
ok I probably will a little later, I have heard of it but I already had everything for the old one so i put it off to the side. But how better is it?

Re: Portable Help
I think banditpaw meant that some symptoms would be nice, other than "it's not working." Classic rookie mistake, though. Looks good so far, keep it up! As far as wiring goes, you're past the hardest part, the rest is just a lot of busy workneverused wrote:banditpaw1 wrote:Well you need to say whats wrong with it , then we can help. Whats not working? It seems that was his problem, he didn't know what was wrong. If he did, he would have said so or just fixed it himself without someone telling him to figure out the answer to his own question.

Yea I know now how to work things now, just looking and researching now on screens and which one to use for my project. Do you have any recommendations for screens that are good yet cost effective?SpongeBuell wrote:I think banditpaw meant that some symptoms would be nice, other than "it's not working." Re: Portable Help
It seems that pustom screens are good, but I would personally go for the PSone screen (but 5" is probably overkill for an Atari).imac4567 wrote:Yea I know now how to work things now, just looking and researching now on screens and which one to use for my project. Re: Portable Help
This project posted by Rekarp initially would work well and is pretty simple for an audio amp. Here's the data sheet for the IC if you want to see it.
Re: Portable Help
Got the screen and 1W amplifier, will update when it arives, thanks for the info
