Portable Help

Post by imac4567 »

Hello, I am new to the forums and was wondering what I am doing wrong with my portable atari. I have double checked connections but I can't seem to get it up and running. Any help would be great!

 It seems that was his problem, he didn't know what was wrong. If he did, he would have said so or just fixed it himself without someone telling him to figure out the answer to his own question.

It appears you are doing the old AV mod. Try the newer AV mod. It has much better results.

I think banditpaw meant that some symptoms would be nice, other than "it's not working." Classic rookie mistake, though. Looks good so far, keep it up! As far as wiring goes, you're past the hardest part, the rest is just a lot of busy work

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

Yea I know now how to work things now, just looking and researching now on screens and which one to use for my project. Do you have any recommendations for screens that are good yet cost effective?

It seems that pustom screens are good, but I would personally go for the PSone screen (but 5" is probably overkill for an Atari).

Do you have a link to find them?

This project posted by Rekarp initially would work well and is pretty simple for an audio amp. Here's the data sheet for the IC if you want to see it.
