Its supposed to be that tight, enjoy your random crashes every time you bump the game.

Also bending a spring repeatedly within its elastic range isnt ever going to loosen it. You have to bend it past its yield point so it undergoes plastic deformation (ref: wikipedia).

So start stacking up layers of printer paper on a cartridge like that other guy said.

If I'm getting this right, the cartridge slot is too small, and that's why you're having trouble.

If so, just use some well-aimed heat in order to make the plastic a little more pliable, then insert a cartridge. I say well-aimed because you'd run the risk of messing with your electronics.

No, that's a horrible idea. Everything sucks when it's put in the microwave. A toaster oven is a much better alternative, and I prefer it.
