Most likely, not, unless you get a controller board, which can cost more that a new LCD with composite/component inputs.

you know the yellow plug? If it has one of those for an input, you're good to go.

for an input (look for an input, not an output), you just connect it up internally.

First you should make sure that it's input and not output. It should say something above the port like input, output, or input/output. If it's the latter than there may be a switch somewhere on the dvd player to switch it from output to input.
As for telling you where to solder the wires we would need a clear picture of the circuit board of where the inputs are, both sides to be safe.
