New (?) Vendor - allelectronics.com
I found this site a bit ago; they seem to have good stuff. Doesn't look like they have a quantity or price minimum per shipment, either.
http://www.allelectronics.com
Examples:
Tact switches: 4/$1.00
http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-st ... .O./1.html
6,000 mcd white 5mm LED: $0.65 ea
http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-st ... M/-/1.html
33 Piece Security Bit Set: $10
Includes forked and tri-wing tips, which should work for Nintendo screws! They look like they're standard hex driver size.

Helping Hands with Magnifying Glass - $4.50
http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-st ... R/-/1.html
Assorted crystals for your overclocking needs: Between 5/$1.00 and $1.25/ea
http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-st ... als/1.html
20-conductor ribbon cable: $4 for 10 feet ($0.25 per foot after that)

YES! I visit this place ALL THE TIME down in Van Nuys! I'm glad they've expanded to the internet (unless they've had a site for a long time). They have the most oddball (cheap) electronics there, such as previously found NES switches (I bought 2 assemblies when I last went).
Excuse my bliss excitement, I just love the place.

Yes, a 6 or so inch LCD plus a $40 controller board that totals up to twice the size of a cut-down PSone screen is most certainly the Holy Grail of Portablizing...
Naw, the holy grail of portablizing would be a free-to-use SEM scanner that can generate VHDL.
...
Oh gawd what a day that would be...

I just looked at the size specs, that thing is a monster.
How about:
6" 640x480 display with a controller board that's only 1"x2", and the whole business is only 5mm thick?

Imagine this:
Take an N64.
Give it to whoever has the thing I'm talking 'bout, m'kay?
And this machine scans the actual chips on it, and generates VHDL.
VHDL is a fancy little language for FPGA's.
In other words, this thing could generate N64OAC's, PS1OAC's, anythingelseOAC, etc.
Sorta.
Could someone else clarify was I just said
