1) Yes, but they are not installed since I don't use them. You can remove the four screws to remove the top plate, plug in the monitor controls circuit board, and use the controls that way, or more tact switches can be installed like the volume controls.

2) No scratches or damage to the screen. I haven't seen any dead pixels.

2?) The DVD drive is samsung ms25 or ms28 (I'd have to check). No it's not flashed, and yes it can be flashed (at the risk of loosing LIVE).

3) I'm an hour's drive west of LA. I live right next to Wrightwood, CA.

And offers for it already haha nice, if i ever built one, id keep it for myself, make a mk2 and maybe sell the first one.

I plan to do it the other way around with my GCp: Make an original as nice as you can: DON'T FEAR SPLURGING A LITTLE! Than show it off, and offer to make one for someone, say, at school, for a fair $um of money$

EXAMPLE: my GCp will cost, roughly, $300 to make when I'm done. Now double that. That is what you say it cost you. Now, be nice and only charge $20 for labor. Now that the price is set at $620, buy CHEAPER parts! Ex: Gamecube with cracked case and psone screen where the backlight and volume down button doesn't work. Now LED mod it and do trace cutting to fix that button. If you vaccuum formed, you already have the mold, just form agian. This one will cost, roughly, $190 to make. Now sell and make a $430 profit. Now go make a REALLY nice one and continue the chain.

wish i could follow that chain, im still on the verge of gettin tools for my ps1 portable, i want to make it work, then screw with vacum fomed cases and make a really professional looking one, i want to give it away as a gift to the gf for her bday, cause i got a hold of all the ps1 final fantasy games, which she loves, so im planning that.

my real ambition is to make an xbox 360 laptop, i have a vacume foamed design in my head with little tweeks like a temp guage and possibly some nice led lighting behind the case, which i plan to thin at those parts.. So when its off it looks the same as the rest of plastic but when on the leds shine throught to show either the xbox coss or something

Every real laptop on the market has beveled edges, I'm tired of seeing X360 laptops with LCDs an inch and a half thick. C'mon, seriously.

jjhamerstein, have you actually completed any projects? I can tell you know quite a bit about electronics (mustive read the stickies), but I haven't (that I rembember) seen any projects you have made.

I've read every topic on the first 5 pages of every forum, and read every build log of every project on the site.

I'm waiting for my n64p parts to show up, but it's taking forever.
O- what woes become me in the UPS limbo!

Just out of curiousity, is there any way to actually put in a laptop battery and make it run off that? You know that way it could actually be completely portable. Just curious and if it's not possible could someone please explain why? I'd really appreciate it.
