Gameboy Original + Color Screen

Hello, I’m new to the forum and wanted to ask you knowledgeable people a question or two. I love my original gameboy, fits perfet in my mongo hands but the GB color screen is just so much nicer. So my question is this, would it be possible to swap screen out so my GB original would have a GB color screen?

If you swap all the Game Boy Color guts into the original Game Boy, yes.

Keep in mind that you will have to make your own daughterboards for the buttons, and if you want to keep the old feel of the buttons you'll need to maul your Game Boy.

GBLs are rare and expensive. I don't think you would want waste something like that.

Well, you must desolder the orange cable from the GBP, and solder to the two sets of pads that are on the back of the LCD, but yes, it is fairly basic.
