For the record, I find it easier to put switches on positive(voltage) than on negative(ground). Because after all, EVERYTHING shares ground, but not everything shares the same voltage. It makes wiring diagrams easier too.

IMO.

I put my power switch on the positive terminal too, has to be an extra degree of safety.

when you said you were not getting sound out of the tv, did you also have the video connected to the tv?

on the psone screen did you bridge the 3 headphone leads on the back of the mobo?

Very good points. The PS1 screen will not give sound without video, and if the 3 headphone leads are not connected, then it will think headphones are plugged in. (It won't put sound through the speakers.)

I had it plugged in through the same cord I use my home-system (An unmodded SNES) on. I didn't change anything except which one the cord was plugged into. So...Yes. I had both plugged in. ^_^. Plus I played a few minutes on SMW2:YI to test the internal controls.

And yes, I bridged those connections. I wouldn't have, but I was talking to Chev, and she told me to, so I did.

check this fuse
http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/console/ninte ... s-fuse.htm
if it were a mini I know that sometimes a big white fuse can go that will mess with the audio

also if you only have power wired to the 7805 output on the snes (power coming right off of the psone screens 7805) you will need to put 5 volts into the removed 7805's other lead as well

edit:
this is what I mean

If I read what you said correctly, that could in theory correct my audio problem. In theory only, though, seeing as this isn't a mini. Could you post a (more) correct diagram, please?

Assuming this fixes the audio, I'm still without video.

Sound is nice but most, if not all games, require a screen with video to know what you're doing. [/sarcasm]

Unless... This magically fixes both problems. Which would be awesome.

Thanks a ton. Seriously. If I get a chance today, I'll wire that out.

However...I'll need to do some more wiring first, just in case... Cuz I found something out... Somebody asked if I had my speakers plugged into the PSone screen. I answered yes. Which I did.

BUT!!!

Nobody asked if I connected sound from the SNES motherboard, the the PSone screen... And if they did, I would have suddenly realized:

No. I didn't.  :x  . In the history of epic fail... This is pretty damn epic.

However, that wouldn't stop sound from getting to the TV. So maybe this missing joint will solve the problem, and as I hope. Magically fix the video as well.

Is there a common ground between the screen and SNES? I would assume yes cause you are powering it with batteries.

HOw are you hooking it up? RGB? hook up the composite and see what happens. And truthfully, RGB doesn't look any better then composite on that 5" screen.

Feel free to ask. We seem to have a very similar issue. So, IMHO, you're welcome to try and figure it out here. No sense in starting a thread for the issue when it's being discussed right here.

So I guess you all deserve an update...

I got the paint in the mail yesterday. Tore open my computer speakers, and painted them with it (To test it, plus I got sick of the standard "Dark-grey" stock look). And let me tell you....Its better than I thought it would be. Its absolutely beautiful on my speakers.

When the case is done and painted, I'll get pics for you all.

Nothing else. Haven't had time to look back into the actual electronics side. I'll try to today.
